Welcome

The Mid-Atlantic region has without question the most active, experienced and effective segment of community based animal rights groups operating in the U.S. - there is great potential value to us all and the movement as a whole.

So, in August of 2006, individuals and representatives from several grassroots organizations joined forces to form the Mid-Atlantic Animal Rights Coalition. Since its inception we have grown substantially and are looking forward to continued growth.

MAARC meets quarterly to discuss various issues and to create an environment for learning that provides significant synergetic opportunities for all coalition members. Meetings are designed to discuss issues we all deal with in our day to day struggle to help animals in our community.

Our primary outreach for participants is geared toward groups in our region, however, any community based, multi-issued, animal rights group is welcome.
