New MAARC Knowledge Sharing Program:

As the Mid-Atlantic Animal Rights Coalition begins its third year, we are proud to present a new Knowledge Sharing Program for community based, multi-issue, animal rights groups in the U.S.  The mission statement created by nine MARC member groups from four states has knowledge sharing as its central theme as did results from a national survey of grassroots groups conducted after the Grassroots Animal Rights Conference (GARC) held in NYC in 2005.  In response to this, our new program will offer animal rights groups/activists access to the 150 + collective years of experience within MAARC, as well as additional insight provided by groups/activists from outside our region who have become part of this initiative.

Details of the program, including topic areas and participating groups/activists will be available on our web site in early September.  Please also check out the full recordings of our 1st annual symposium, which provide examples of the quality counsel that will be available through our Knowledge Sharing Program.
